Supporting the children of missionaries
Since 1992 the Christian Missionary Scholarship Foundation has helped thousands of missionary kids receive a quality Christian college education. Stanley and Harriet van Reken founded the nonprofit after members of their family returned to the mission field with no way of financing a college education for their children. The van Rekens' heart for the sacrifices missionary families make has helped grow a foundation that supports more than 100 missionary kids at six Christian colleges each year.

“The Lord blessed me and enabled me to earn far more money than I needed. My family was well provided for, so to whom do I give the surplus? Missionary Kids are special and can use it to perhaps change the world we live in so I started the Christian Missionary Scholarship Foundation. I fully expect that one of my MKs will graduate from a Christian college and become the head of state in his own country some day.””
